Tony graduated from Purdue University in 1989 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering. Tony was named Outstanding Senior at Purdue University in 1989 and twice received the annual Steven Beering Outstanding Fraternity President Award while serving as President of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.
In 1994, Tony obtained his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude. At Notre Dame, Tony won awards for trial advocacy, represented the law school on its mock trial team, and served as a Senior Editor of the Notre Dame Law Review.
Tony has tried cases throughout the United States, including cases in Illinois, Idaho, Montana, Oklahoma, Iowa and Missouri, involving all types of intellectual property rights and other major commercial disputes. In 2002, he successfully defended Weyerhaeuser Corporation in a patent licensing dispute where the plaintiff sought $42 million in damages, but was awarded nothing. Tony has also successfully litigated intellectual property disputes in diverse areas including contact lenses, sunglasses, asphalt plants, paper making machinery, furniture and consulting services.
Tony and his wife Trish have four children, Alexa, age 13, Molly, age 11, Hannah, age
9, and Jake age 7. Tony keeps very busy as a coach for his daughters'
and son's softball and baseball teams, and is also on the board of the Battle Ground Summer Recreation Program.
